Mr. Vizquerra is currently President, CEO, and Director of O3 Mining Inc, a company of the Osisko group. Mr. Vizquerra has been serving the Osisko group since 2011. He served as Executive Vice President of Strategic Development for Osisko Mining Inc for over four years. Mr. Vizquerra also served as the President & CEO of Oban Mining Corporation (“Oban”), where in 2015 he led the successful change of business strategy that resulted in Oban’s acquisition of Corona Gold Corporation, Eagle Hill Exploration Corporation, and Ryan Gold Corporation to form what is now Osisko Mining Inc. Mr. Vizquerra previously worked as Head of Business Development for Compañia de Minas Buenaventura, prior to which he worked as a production and exploration geologist at the Red Lake gold mine in Ontario.
Mr Vizquerra receipt the Peter Munk award in 2019, from the Young Mining professionals.
He is currently a board member of Osisko Mining Inc. and Sierra Metals Inc., he also serves as an advisor to the board of Discovery Silver Corp. and Palamina Resources. Mr. Vizquerra is an alumni of the General Management Program at the Wharton School of Business. He holds an MSc in Mineral Exploration from Queens University and a B.Sc in Civil Engineering from UPC Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas. Mr. Vizquerra is a Qualified Person as defined in NI 43-101.
